Aerial Classes

What is Aerial Yoga?

Aerial Yoga combines traditional yoga poses with the use of an aerial yoga hammock. Derived from circus arts (aerial silks, aerial hammock or sling), aerial yoga is a fairly new practice developed only about 10 years ago. Each class weaves traditional yoga postures with circus type elements or transitions to not only improve stability, balance, and flexibility, but to strengthen your muscles and work your core strength! Each class will focus on poses with the entire body weight leaning inside the fabric, standing in the hammock, balancing on one leg, folding over the fabric, inverting, and relaxing all the way inside the hammock for a final savasana.
